All users must comply with the Universitas Pelita Harapan Library Rules when using the services and facilities.
Users are expected to have read, understood and agreed to the rules and regulations. If you violate the rules, the library staff may remove you from the premise.

Library Rules:

1. Visitors must register before entering the library
2. Visitors must have an identity card while in the library
3. While in the library Visitors must apply the health protocols that have been determined in the library (wear masks, keep your distance, use hand sanitizer)
4. Visitors must maintain cleanliness, order, calm and courtesy in the library
5. Visitors must dress neatly and politely
6. Visitors are not allowed to bring food into the library except bottled mineral water
7. Visitors are not allowed to eat and sleep in the library
8. Visitors use the facilities in the library in accordance with the provisions
9. Visitors are prohibited from bringing books out of the library without the permission of the library staff / borrowing

All Library Locations

1. Belongings:  Library users are responsible for their belongings. Do not leave items such as wallets, purses, mobile phones, car keys or laptops unattended. The Library is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
2. Food and Beverages: Do not bring food into the library. Only mineral water in bottles or cups is allowed.
3. Furniture:  Do not rearrange or remove any furniture.
4. Mobile Phone: Users should set their mobile phones to silent mode or turn them off while in the Library as the Library is a quiet environment.
5. Photography & Filming: Ask permission from the librarian before taking pictures or videos.
6. Security Alarms: Do not take books, journals, or other items outside the library unless they have been handled by the circulation staff. If the security gate sounds an alarm as you exit, you must return to the Circulation Desk to verify that the items were handled properly by our staff.
7. Shelving: Do not re-shelf books or journals yourself.
8. Sleep: Do not sleep in the library.
9. Theft, Defacement, Mutilation, Misuse or Destruction: The theft, defacement, mutilation, misuse or destruction of library property is prohibited. Being caught doing any of these activities will result in a penalty (see the Penalties section of the Manual).
10. Complaints & Suggestions Form: User may lodge complaints or suggestions by using the form which is available at all library locations
11. Sandals & Dress Code: Sandals are not allowed in the library and dress should be modest and proper.

Central Library

1. Bags, Packages, etc.: Bags, packages, and backpacks may be taken into the library or deposited in a locker before entering the library. The library staff has the right to check them.
2. Goods: Do not leave valuable goods inside the lockers. The library will not responsible for the loss or damage of any items kept in the lockers.
3. Smartcards: Smartcards are required for entering the library. Visitors without a smartcard have to contact the library staff prior to visiting.
