The Johannes Oentoro Library (UPH) in collaboration with Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) and Swiss German University (SGU) held an Information Literacy Event consisting of Board Game competition and Talkshow.
Board Game "Wide Wit War"
The Board Game Competition called Wide Wit War are played by 11 groups of 3 people in 2 board. The participants are from High school student and university Student around Tangerang. Every group are using information literacy skills and board game strategies to complete the challenge. A group has 5 Life Points which if they run out of, they will be eliminated.
They could risk their life points to declare war to other groups, being pitted against each other in a timed information literacy challenge which will earn the winning group 2 Victory Points, Or they could save up to buy weapons used to slay hell beast and then use the gem they get from the beast to receive a mission which will earn them up to 3 Victory Points.
The competition very tight and in the final there are 2 groups from UMN, 1 group from SGU, and 3 groups from UPH. In the end, the winner is the one with most Victory Point or the last group standing.

1st Place : UPH - Ahsiapp Team

2nd Place : SGU - Kleist Team

3rd Place : UPH - Cheer Up Team

Talkshow
Beside that, there is Talkshow “Smart Citizen, Smart Society, Smart Learning” with speaker Ismail Fahmi, Ph.D (Founder Drone Emprit & Drone Emprit Academy) and Hanna Chaterina George, S.S., M.I.Kom (Information Literacy Educator for School and Chairman of Asosiasi Pekerja Profesional Informasi Sekolah Indonesia - APISI).
The talkshow explained about information literacy skill including digital and media literacy for lifelong learning. So, everyone can be smart citizen in smart society through smart learning.
Also, there is trivia quiz with simple question about information literacy and information about how to avoid hoax to mall visitors.
Information Literacy Campaign
The campaign took place as an information literacy socialization about how to avoid hoax to mall visitors.
There was trivia games consist of the questions about cases of hoax and visitor analyze and answer with their own opinion.
In the end we gave merchandise "kipas informasi" to educate visitors to have critical thinking and being literate.
Hopefully, this event increase public awareness about the importance of information literacy skills.
