Venue: The Johannes Oentoro Library, Antioch & HOPE

Description:

The book club for lecturers was held to support and provide a forum for lecturers to escape their teaching routine momentarily. This activity offers a safe place for lecturers to read books, share their thoughts and experiences, inspire each other, and improve their English language skills because all interactions and conversations must be in English.

All registered participants are very committed to participating in the entire series of activities held every week for 1 month in June 2024. Lecturers feel that the book club is a place to get new ideas and new colleagues at work.

This activity ultimately impacted the lecturers, improving their relationships with fellow lecturers and staff at UPH and their confidence in speaking English.
