How to Brainstorm Research Topics

  1. Write down all the nouns related to the chosen research topic on a piece of paper.
  2. Don't stop, write the noun for 2 minutes.
  3. When finished, make a selection:
    • Delete all words that are not related to the topic, for example, conjunctions, unrelated verbs, etc.
    • Choose a word that we recognize it
  4. Once selected, repeat the first step using the selected word from step 3.
  5. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until finished. See the finished example
  6. Make connections between all the words generated so that it is easy to analyze which topics are more mastered or can be chosen to write about. See example
  7. (optional) Put step 6 result on a mind map to make it easier to understand. See example
