The library of UPH Tangerang Campus organized a webinar at May 2, 2024, on how to publish your work of literature through UPH Press for free. The Webinar focused on a guide to bring your work into reality through UPH press, the requirements to release your work through UPH press, the many services of UPH press and etcetera. The speaker Mr. Dhama Gustiar Baskoro, S.S., M.Pd spoke with a hint of elegance while delivering his words with efficiency and grace. He was also pleased with the amount of questions the audience presented him with at the end of the webinar.

The One UPH Library and EBSCO organized an online workshop on April 29, 2024, on how to maximize the use of Pathfinder 4.0 called EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS). The workshop focused on a guide to use and utilize all functions in EDS to make students' and lecturers' journeys to do research easy. Ryan Salas, the EBSCO Training Specialist in the Southeast Asia Region describes and guides every detail of EDS Function thoroughly, He makes sure that all participants will have a basic knowledge to utilize EDS in their research.

One UPH Library launched asynchronous ILTP classes via Moodle to assist all UPH students and lecturers in determining research topics and variables; Looking for information that is AVR (Accurate, Valid, Relevant); Academic Writing and Publications.

One UPH Library publishes an online Handbook for students, lecturers and education staff throughout the UPH One campus who wish to have easy access to the library. The main purpose of publishing this handbook is to help library users to be able to access the library's website easily, and to be able to take advantage of various paid databases containing journal articles and electronic books subscribed to by the library. In addition, library users can access profiles, rules, regulations, collections, facilities and services, as well as all guides for using the library. Description :

The Johannes Oentoro Library (UPH) held a series of event with “Smart Literacies for a better life" in March – May 2021. The events, all held online on the wake of social distancing rules for COVID-19 pandemic, includes several webinars, trainings, workshop, and a video essay competition, using various online tools such as Zoom, Google Drive, Microsoft Teams and the like. This event is sponsored by Canon, EBSCO, McGraw-Hill, and JSTOR.

Webinars

We held 6 webinars with a wide variety of themes, with speakers from all sorts of backgrounds. The webinars amassed 855 audiences in total.

TRAINING OF TRAINERS

This event, held on 27th - 28th April 2021, are joined by 108 participants from Sabang to Merauke. The purpose of this training is to become a capable instructor of information literacy, including making a lesson program in both synchronous and asynchronous system. All participants are encouraged to design the lesson plans as creative as possible, and expected to apply that into practice. 

WORKSHOP

There are 2 workshops held in this event joined by a total of 471 participants.

The first workshop is "Citation Model and Bibliography Management Workshop" on April 13th 2021 with Dhama Gustiar Baskoro, S.S. MPd. as the speaker. This workshop train participants to know various types of citations and the differences, and then introduce them to a free reference management software, Mendeley. From this event, participants are expected to be able to use Mendeley proficiently and know the basic of citation.

The second workshop is held on 5th May 2021 about "Creating Learning Content with Podcast and YouTube media Workshop" with Gidion Indra Saputra, S.Pd, B.Ed. The participants are introduced the basic of video and audio auditing to support making learning content as Podcast and YouTube videos. With this event, participants are encouraged to develop their creativity in making teaching materials.

Description: The Johannes Oentoro Library team held and presented sessions for Information Literacy Instructor Training Course Package C which covers "E-Learning dan Media Pembelajaran Literasi Informasi."

Venue           : Building D 502 - UPH Karawaci

Description  : As collaboration between The Johannes Oentoro Library and Teacher College, we conduct the Library Management internal workshop for TC students. This is a first time workshop of library management, which was delivered for TC students.

For about three days, the library team consist of 6 speakers and 3 additional supports engage a deep training on the wide range school library issues, such as: school library accreditation preparation and standards, installation of SLiMS, the use of SLiMS on books processing and acquisition, circulation module, user management module, Information Literacy, and also library promotion.

Description  : The Johannes Oentoro Library has organized "Information Literacy Instructor Training Course Package B" courses with the cooperation of Departemen Ilmu Informasi dan Perpustakaan, Universitas Padjadjaran. Speakers at the "Paket B" this time including Dhama Gustiar, Clara Evi C., Tikno Iensuffie from UPH, and Sukaesih, Agus R. and Yunus W. from UNPAD. Speakers provide material about the concept of TNA, TNA models, TIU,TIK and ,etc.. All materials provided to support participants in applying teaching Information Literacy. And at the last session, the participants do "micro teaching", ie as if the participants were in the classroom to teach the information literacy in students, this is done to determine to what extent, participants can receive material that has been presented.
