The Indonesian Christian College Library Communication Forum (FKPPTKI) organized a lokakarya (seminar-workshop) with the theme "The Golden Compass: Finding Leadership Direction in the Vortex of Change" on July 24-25, 2025 held at STT Sangkakala, Salatiga. This activity aims to equip libraries and librarians to face today's reality, which is described by the term VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity), and is introduced to participants during a series of activities in the form of seminars and outbound games.
Dr. Linda Ariany Mahastanti, SE., M.Sc., opened the workshop session with a brief introduction to the concept of VUCA as an introduction to each outdoor game session held and led by Dr. Dhama Gustiar Baskoro, S.S., M.Pd. This activity is also expected to develop new skills in participants as a response to the VUCA phenomenon, such as decision-making skills, emotional resilience, strategies related to prediction and planning, agility, adaptation, learning orientation, mindset change, clarity, collaboration, and networking.
At the end of each day, a reflection session was held on the various activities participated in by the participants, along with an exploration of relevant biblical values to equip librarians with God's truth in both their personal and professional lives.
